Rick Maher's Job Hunt

Unfortunately for the second January in a row I am faced with the challenge of finding a new job.

Last year I was surprised and semi-panicked, knee jerking into the "numbers-game job hunt."

This year though, I'm taking a bit of a different approach, targeting jobs especially interesting where I am well qualified, and specifically interested. This is requiring MUCH more time per job application, but resulting in applications (resumes, cover letters, questionnaire responses) being, I think, significantly higher quality.

I've put a few in already, and am hunting full time for others, but taking a short break now to reflect on what the potential employers will do once they qualify my resume as worthy of a next step. If I were them, I'd open Google and see what else I could learn about potential interviewees.
